prevent a power supply of the IC.

24V power

supply falsely

interconnected

to COM/AUX.

Also in

combination

with F1 or F2.

The IC is permanently powered via

the COM/AUX external protection

diodes (and internal parasitic diodes).

A similar situation is if the IC gets

“supply power” via incoming (toggling)

cable signals.

The LF function will detect this as

LINE_FAULT event and will raise an

exception. This exception can be signaled

to the µC via the INT_L signal if

configured accordingly.

Customer recommendation:

Subsequently the µC shall stop any

communication and shall handle (e.g.

signal) the power fail situation.

The voltage of

the regular

24V power

supply drops

under 8V

The control circuit of the IC is

powered regularly but the HV driver

may cause malfunction since the

voltage at the VDD pin dropped below

8V.

The UV function will detect this as

UNDER_VOLTAGE event and will raise

an exception unconditionally.
