35 / 95 page  35/95 ST7FLCD1 I/O Ports 7 I/O Ports 7.1 Introduction I/O ports are used to transfer data through digital inputs and outputs. For specific pins, I/O ports allow the input of analog signals or the Input/Output of alternate signals for on-chip peripherals (DDC, Timer, etc.). Each pin can be independently programmed as digital input or output. Each pin can be an analog input when an analog switch is connected to the Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). Note:1. This is a typical I/O pin configuration. Each port is customized with a specific configuration in order to handle certain functions.
