If the floor life or the temperature/humidity conditions have been exceeded, the devices must
be rebaked prior to solder reflow or dry packing.
Rebaking instructions
When the shelf life or floor life limits have been exceeded, rebake at 50 °C for 12 hours.

Laser eye safety
The TMF8805 is designed to meet the Class 1 laser safety limits including single faults in
compliance with IEC / EN 60825-1:2014 and EN 60825-1:2014/A11:2021. This applies to the
stand-alone device and the included software supplied by ams OSRAM. In an end application
system environment, the system may need to be tested to ensure it remains compliant. The
system must not include any additional lens to concentrate the laser light or parameters set
outside of the recommended operating conditions. Use outside of the recommended condition
or any physical modification to the module during development could result in hazardous levels
of radiation exposure.

Complies with 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11 except for conformance with IEC 60825-1 Ed. 3.,
as described in Laser Notice No. 56, dated May 8, 2019.
CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those
specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
Example: Adding a converging lens on top of the TMF8805.
