If α1 is in the range of ±1° around α0, |Δϕang| has its minimum. Here only the microlinearity error Δϕµlin and the temperature drift related to the room temperature |Δϕtemp|RT| occurs. If α1 deviates from α0 by more than 1° in either direction, |Δϕang| can increase. Slope mang defines the gradient.
